For several years, I have worked with the City of Olathe, Kansas, Fire Department on a contract basis to develop a suite of reports and other informational materials. Among the projects: The department’s strategic plan report, which is produced every five years and requires months of coordination and content development with their staff. Working with a department liaison, OFD's communications manager, and the Chief, we collaborate on the document’s themes, identify data and statistics to highlight, and ensure the print piece shows the value of the community’s investment in the department. In addition to page layout and publication design, I create custom icons, infographics, and other illustrations for the reports.
